Community Resilience Summit

In 1855 Wellington was hit by a huge earthquake that changed the topology of the city with major uplifts and a tsunami. This year Cyclone Gabrielle took out the North and the East Cape. Communications, power and accessibility went missing for an extended period of time. Household resilience was sufficient.

How would we cope here? Well let’s not wait till it happens to think about it. Come and join our emergency services, our business, and our schools, and let’s explore what we need and some options for where we will find it.

The Summit is co-hosted with WREMO, and we’ve invited the emergency services. Local service providers and schools will be there, too.
