ORCA hosted the Boxhill – Station Road Intersection Improvement Team at our December Meeting. You can find the slides from their presentation here.
The proposed solution is a traffic light junction with signal timings responsive to traffic flows. To slow south bound traffic, Speed cushions are proposed before the bend coming south on Burma Road. Their presentation describes the options in full. The primary reason for choosing traffic signals is safety, while traffic flows are high enough to warrant the higher cost.
This has already been communicated with 150 adjacent neighbours and with the 250 emails from the previous engagement survey.
